About the register

INPI (National Institute of Industrial Property)

Known locally as Institut national de la propriété industrielle (INPI).

Guadeloupe is a French overseas department, and companies there are registered in the French national system applied to the territory. Since 1 January 2023 all business formalities in France, Guadeloupe included, pass through the single electronic window and are recorded in the Registre national des entreprises (RNE), the national register operated by INPI, the Institut national de la propriété industrielle, which merged the former national trade and companies, trades and agricultural registers.

Commercial companies are also entered in the registre du commerce et des sociétés (RCS), which continues alongside the RNE and is held by the court greffe. Guadeloupe has two commercial jurisdictions, the tribunaux mixtes de commerce sitting at Pointe-à-Pitre and at Basse-Terre, both listed in the justice ministry's directory; under the Code de commerce the greffe of a tribunal mixte de commerce is held by a commercial court greffier. The extract issued from the RCS is the official proof of a company's registration and identifies its officers.

Businesses carry the standard French identifiers: a nine-digit SIREN assigned once by INSEE and never reused, and a fourteen-digit SIRET per establishment, with INSEE's Sirene repertoire expressly covering the overseas departments. Beneficial owners are declared to the French register of beneficial owners, where access has been limited since 31 July 2024 to supervisory authorities, persons subject to anti-money-laundering obligations and persons demonstrating a legitimate interest. The Company Records report for Guadeloupe provides the registry extract sourced from the official register.

Good to know

Guadeloupe company records — questions

Are these official records?
Yes. Every record is sourced from the official register, INPI, at the moment you buy. It is registry data only — nothing aggregated, resold, or editorialised.
What exactly is a "Company Record"?
Two things in one purchase: the KYB report (company data and controlling parties — this register does not publish shareholders or beneficial owners) and the standard set of official registry documents needed for AML and KYB compliance.
Can I get additional filing documents?
Every record includes the standard document set for AML and KYB compliance. If you need a document beyond that set, contact us and we'll find out whether the register holds it.
Does the record include shareholders and beneficial owners?
The official register does not make shareholder or beneficial-owner data public, so a record cannot include what the register does not publish. The company particulars and controlling parties it does hold are included.
How current is the information?
It is retrieved from the register at the time of purchase, so it reflects the register's current state — not a cached copy.
Do I need a subscription or a contract?
No. Buy a single record with a card. There is no subscription and no minimum.
Which register holds companies in Guadeloupe?
The French national system. Every business is entered in the Registre national des entreprises operated by INPI, with formalities filed through the single electronic window since 1 January 2023, and commercial companies are also registered in the registre du commerce et des sociétés at the court greffe. Guadeloupe is served by two tribunaux mixtes de commerce, at Pointe-à-Pitre and at Basse-Terre.
What identifiers do Guadeloupe companies carry?
The nine-digit SIREN number, assigned by INSEE to each legal entity, in which the first eight digits carry no meaning and the ninth is a check digit; it is assigned once and never reused. Each establishment carries a fourteen-digit SIRET. INSEE's Sirene repertoire expressly lists Guadeloupe within its scope.
What appears on the registry extract?
The RCS extract proves the company's registration and sets out its name, SIREN number, legal form, share capital, registered office, detailed activity and the role, name, date of birth, nationality and address of the principal manager, the administrators and the statutory auditors. The Company Records report for Guadeloupe includes the registry extract sourced from the official register.
Does the register publish shareholders or beneficial owners?
No. The register does not make shareholder or beneficial-owner data public. Beneficial owners are declared to the French register of beneficial owners, and since 31 July 2024, following the Court of Justice of the European Union ruling of 22 November 2022, INPI grants access to that data only to the supervisory authorities listed in the Monetary and Financial Code, to persons subject to anti-money-laundering obligations and to persons or organisations demonstrating a legitimate interest.
