Chambers of Commerce & Industry of Bonaire and of Sint Eustatius & Saba
Known locally as Kamer van Koophandel en Nijverheid Bonaire; Kamer van Koophandel en Nijverheid Sint Eustatius en Saba.
Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba, the three islands of the Caribbean Netherlands, are part of the Netherlands, yet business registration there does not run through the Dutch KVK. Trade registration is organised locally: one Chamber of Commerce and Industry has been set up for Bonaire and another for Sint Eustatius and Saba together, with an office on each island it serves.
The legal basis is the Handelsregisterwet 2009 BES. It establishes a trade register in which businesses and legal persons are entered, kept by the chambers, and makes the register public: anyone may inspect an entry, and a chamber provides a copy of or extract from the register on request against payment of a fee. The Rijksdienst Caribisch Nederland lists keeping the trade register, containing all companies, associations and foundations, among the chambers' statutory tasks.
