About the register

Department of Business Development

Known locally as กรมพัฒนาธุรกิจการค้า.

Company registration in Thailand is administered by the Department of Business Development (DBD, กรมพัฒนาธุรกิจการค้า), an agency of the Ministry of Commerce. Every registered juristic person carries a 13-digit juristic person registration number, and that same number serves as the entity's tax identification number with the Revenue Department, so a single identifier follows a Thai company across registry and tax filings. The DBD publishes juristic person data through its DBD DataWarehouse service, which covers company profiles, financial statements, shareholder information and foreign investment in Thai entities.

Two registry filings matter most for verification work. Thai companies file annual financial statements with the DBD, and they submit copies of their shareholder list on the Bor Or Jor 5 form (บอจ.5), the register's record of who holds a company's shares. Both feed the public record, and the DBD operates an e-Filing system for these submissions.

The Thailand Company Records report is sourced from the DBD DataWarehouse and includes the Company Information Report, the Financial Statement Report, the Investment by Nationality Report, the Information Change Tracking Report and the List of Shareholders for the entity.

Good to know

Thailand company records — questions

Are these official records?
Yes. Every record is sourced from the official register, DBD - Datawarehouse, at the moment you buy. It is registry data only — nothing aggregated, resold, or editorialised.
What exactly is a "Company Record"?
Two things in one purchase: the KYB report (company data, controlling parties, shareholders and beneficial owners) and the standard set of official registry documents needed for AML and KYB compliance.
Can I get additional filing documents?
Every record includes the standard document set for AML and KYB compliance. If you need a document beyond that set, contact us and we'll find out whether the register holds it.
Can I get shareholders and beneficial owners?
Yes. This register publishes shareholder and beneficial-owner data, and the record includes it with the ownership chain resolved. The chain is our own work: registers file shareholdings, not the resolved ownership behind them.
How current is the information?
It is retrieved from the register at the time of purchase, so it reflects the register's current state — not a cached copy.
Do I need a subscription or a contract?
No. Buy a single record with a card. There is no subscription and no minimum.
What is a Bor Or Jor 5 (BOJ.5) shareholder list?
The BOJ.5 (บอจ.5) is the shareholder list a Thai company submits to the Department of Business Development. It records the company's shareholders and their holdings as registered with the DBD. The List of Shareholders in the Thailand Company Records report is drawn from this registry filing.
What is the Thai juristic person registration number?
It is a 13-digit number assigned by the Department of Business Development when a juristic person is registered. The first three digits identify the issuing agency, with the ranges 010 to 096 reserved for DBD-issued numbers. The same number is used as the company's tax identification number, so it appears on both registry and tax documents.
Does Thailand publish company financial statements?
Yes. Registered juristic persons file annual financial statements with the Department of Business Development, and financial statement data is available through the DBD DataWarehouse. The Thailand Company Records report includes a Financial Statement Report for the entity.
What is the DBD DataWarehouse?
It is the Department of Business Development's online juristic person data service. It confirms that an entity is legally registered with the DBD and carries profile, financial statement, shareholder and foreign investment data. Thailand Company Records reports are sourced from it at the moment you buy.
