Official company records for Guernsey, on demand

The Guernsey Registry is the official registry for legal entities in the Bailiwick of Guernsey. It supports the Registrar, a public office holder within the States of Guernsey, in carrying out their statutory duties, and maintains the registers of Guernsey companies, limited liability partnerships, limited partnerships and foundations, as well as registers of charities, non-profit organisations and recognised auditors. Basic company information, such as the registered office address, registration date, company status and economic activity code, can be searched free of charge on the Registry's Online Services Portal without a login.

Guernsey filings have a distinctive annual rhythm. Every company registered in Guernsey files an annual validation with the Registry between 1 January and the last day of February, capturing the company's details as they stood on 31 December. The Registry does not keep shareholder information, and director details are obtained by ordering a Statement of the Register. Certified copies of documents, Statements of the Register and Certificates of Good Standing can be purchased through the portal.

Beneficial-ownership records sit under the Beneficial Ownership of Legal Persons (Guernsey) Law, 2017: each company's resident agent must identify its beneficial owners, keep their particulars at the registered office and notify the Registrar of changes, and that information is held on a register with restricted access rather than on the public record.
