About the register

Companies House Gibraltar

Companies House Gibraltar is the registry for Gibraltar companies, with three statutory functions: to incorporate and dissolve companies, to examine and hold documents delivered under the Companies Act, and to make that information available to the public. The current framework is the Companies Act 2014, and the registry also covers business names, limited partnerships, limited liability partnerships, protected cell companies and foundations.

Every company must keep its information current, including an annual return covering the registered office address and the details of directors, secretaries and shareholders. Accounts or abridged balance sheets are also filed, and the register records the year-end of the last accounts filed. Records are inspected at the registry in person or electronically, and subscribers to the e-Registry can run an e-Search remotely across all active companies registered since 1931, inspecting the statutory documents filed with the Registrar of Companies in electronic form.

A Company Profile is a summary of the latest information on a company: registration number, name, incorporation date, date of the last annual return, year-end of the last accounts filed, registered office address, status, share capital, shareholders, directors, secretary and any registered charges. Any member of the public can request one for any Gibraltar registered company. Separately, Gibraltar has maintained a publicly available register of ultimate beneficial ownership since 2020. The Company Records report for Gibraltar delivers the Company Profile sourced from this register.

Good to know

Gibraltar company records — questions

Are these official records?
Yes. Every record is sourced from the official register, Companies House, at the moment you buy. It is registry data only — nothing aggregated, resold, or editorialised.
What exactly is a "Company Record"?
Two things in one purchase: the KYB report (company data, controlling parties, shareholders and beneficial owners) and the standard set of official registry documents needed for AML and KYB compliance.
Can I get additional filing documents?
Every record includes the standard document set for AML and KYB compliance. The official register holds further filings — listed above under "Available separately" — and if you need one beyond the standard set, contact us and we'll arrange it.
Can I get shareholders and beneficial owners?
Yes. This register publishes shareholder and beneficial-owner data, and the record includes it with the ownership chain resolved. The chain is our own work: registers file shareholdings, not the resolved ownership behind them.
How current is the information?
It is retrieved from the register at the time of purchase, so it reflects the register's current state — not a cached copy.
Do I need a subscription or a contract?
No. Buy a single record with a card. There is no subscription and no minimum.
What is a Company Profile from Companies House Gibraltar?
It is a summary of the latest information held by Companies House Gibraltar on a company, covering the registration number, incorporation date, date of the last annual return, year-end of the last accounts filed, registered office address, status, share capital, shareholders, directors, secretary and any registered charges. Any member of the public can request one for any Gibraltar registered company. The Company Records report for Gibraltar is built on this Company Profile.
Does Companies House Gibraltar show shareholders?
Yes. Every company files an annual return that includes the registered office address and the details of directors, secretaries and shareholders, and the registry makes this information available to the public. Shareholder details also appear in the Company Profile, which the Company Records report for Gibraltar provides.
How far back do Gibraltar company records go?
Subscribers to the registry's e-Registry can conduct an e-Search of all active companies registered in Gibraltar since 1931 and inspect in electronic form the statutory documents filed with the Registrar of Companies. A company pending striking off, or struck off, under sections 411 to 413 of the Companies Act 2014 is flagged with that status in the electronic record.
Is beneficial ownership public in Gibraltar?
Yes. Gibraltar has had a publicly available register of ultimate beneficial ownership since 2020, described by the Government of Gibraltar as the first UK Overseas Territory to implement one. In February 2026 the Government announced that the register would shortly become fully operational and accessible free of charge to any individual wishing to conduct a search. The register is operated by the Government, separately from Companies House.
