National Business Register (RNE)

Known locally as Registre National des Entreprises.

The Registre National des Entreprises (RNE) is Tunisia's register of enterprises, presented under the banner of the Tunisian Republic and the Presidency of the Government. The register's platform states that it operates in application of law 52-2018 on the national business register, with fees set by decree 811-2019 for the Centre National du Registre des Entreprises, and that its purpose is the diffusion of economic and legal data on enterprises. At the time of consultation the portal reported more than 330,000 registered legal entities, more than 580,000 registered natural persons and more than 1.4 million legal announcements.

The register's services run online through the RNE portal: company registration and modification, reservation of a denomination, declaration of the beneficial owner, registry extracts, verification of an extract's authenticity, convocation of general meetings, an official bulletin of legal announcements and a subscription-based monitoring service. Companies can be searched by unique identifier, denomination or year of creation, and natural persons by identity number, name or commercial activity.

Beneficial owners are declared to the register through a dedicated online service; the pages consulted do not state a public access regime for that data. The Company Records report for Tunisia includes the registry extract sourced from the official register.
