About the register

Guiché Único da Empresa

The Guiché Único da Empresa (GUE) is a public service with legal personality and administrative, financial and patrimonial autonomy, supervised by the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights (Ministério da Justiça e dos Direitos Humanos). Its purpose is to speed up the constitution, alteration and extinction of commercial companies, individual traders and cooperatives, and related acts. Formation can be completed in person at a GUE service point or online at www.gue.gov.ao.

The GUE window operates in front of Angola's commercial registry. Its published fee schedule for registering an individual trader separates the GUE fee from the fee of the Conservatória do Registo Comercial, and a corporate shareholder joining a new company must present an updated certidão do registo comercial, the commercial registry certificate. The entities served are individual traders, cooperatives of at least ten members, sociedades por quotas and sociedades anónimas with one or more shareholders, and branches and representation offices.

Company acts are published online on the GUE portal instead of in the Diário da República, under Lei n.º 11/15 of 17 February, Decreto Presidencial n.º 153/16 of 5 August as amended by Decreto Presidencial n.º 60/20 of 3 March, and Decreto Executivo n.º 168/20 of 1 June; the portal describes the online publication as always available and updated, authentic, and free to access. What is the Guiché Único da Empresa?

A public service under the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights created to expedite the constitution, alteration and extinction of commercial companies, individual traders and cooperatives. It operates service points across Angola, including in Luanda, and an online channel at www.gue.gov.ao, with registry acts inscribed through the commercial registry (registo comercial).

Who can form a company in Angola and what is required?

Any natural or legal person, national or foreign, acting personally or through a representative. Individual shareholders present identification and a tax identification number (NIF); corporate shareholders present an updated commercial registry certificate, their NIF and a resolution authorising the incorporation. Foreign persons need no special authorisation to form a company in Angola.

Where are Angolan company acts published?

Online, on the GUE portal. Publication in the Diário da República is dispensed with under Lei n.º 11/15 of 17 February, Decreto Presidencial n.º 153/16 of 5 August as amended by Decreto Presidencial n.º 60/20 of 3 March, and Decreto Executivo n.º 168/20 of 1 June.
