Business Register of the Slovak Republic
Known locally as Obchodný register Slovenskej republiky.
The Slovak business register (obchodný register) is kept by the registry courts (registrové súdy), the district courts at the seats of the regional courts. Its internet publication at orsr.sk runs under the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic, and the Commercial Code (Act No 513/1991) determines when data entered in the register may be invoked against third parties.
The register and its collection of documents are available to everybody. The online service supports searches by business name, identification number (IČO), registered seat, registration number and the name of a person, and shows the update dates of the regional registers. The registry court issues electronic extracts from the register free of charge, while other access to and extracts from the register are subject to a fee.
Data on beneficial owners (konečný užívateľ výhod) filed with the business register is not publicly available on the register's website, in the Commercial Bulletin (Obchodný vestník) or in business register extracts; the Ministry of Justice states that for the person who submitted the registration the data is displayed in the confirmation of registration, and that publicly available beneficial-owner data exists in the Register of Public Sector Partners only for entities registered there.
