About the register

Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of San Marino

Known locally as Camera di Commercio della Repubblica di San Marino.

The Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of San Marino keeps the Trade Register (Registro Imprese), a computer register in which all licensed economic operators are automatically registered under Article 5 of Law No. 71/2004. Its online desk provides company registration certificates and balance sheets to users in San Marino and abroad, as a snapshot of a company's details and legal situation.

The statutory Companies Register (Registro delle Società) established by Article 6 of Law No. 47 of 23 February 2006 is kept electronically at the Office for Economic Activities (Ufficio Attività Economiche), which took over its keeping from the Court Clerk's office under Law No. 147/2017. It records each company's constitutive act, registered office, subscribed and paid-up capital, members with their percentage of the capital, corporate purpose, legal representatives and administrators, balance sheet approvals, transformations, liquidation measures, sole member status and pledges or seizures on participations.

The Companies Register is public. Under Delegated Decree No. 152/2022, applicable from 15 January 2023, anyone may freely consult the data present at the date of access by company name, registration number or economic operator code; historical views and filed documents are reserved to the authorities and to professionals enrolled in San Marino. Beneficial ownership information is communicated to a separate register kept by the Financial Intelligence Agency under Article 23 quater of Law No. 92/2008, with access limited to predetermined categories of subjects. Is beneficial ownership information public in San Marino?
