About the register

National Court Register (KRS)

Known locally as Krajowy Rejestr Sądowy.

Polish companies are registered in the Krajowy Rejestr Sądowy (KRS), the National Court Register. The register is public by law, and its information service, the Central Information of the KRS, is an organisational unit of the Ministry of Justice with branches at the registry courts. Anyone can search it online without an account, by KRS number, NIP tax number, REGON statistical number or name, through the Ministry of Justice KRS search and the Portal Rejestrów Sądowych.

Two register reports exist. The odpis aktualny holds only the entries currently in force; the odpis pełny holds everything ever entered under the number, including data since deleted. Both download free of charge as PDFs that carry the same value as documents issued by the office, with no seal required. Financial statements are filed electronically and can be read free of charge through the Ministry's financial documents browser.

Beneficial ownership sits in a separate system, the Centralny Rejestr Beneficjentów Rzeczywistych (CRBR), for which the minister responsible for public finances is the competent authority. The CRBR is public, and anyone may consult it free of charge. The Company Records report for Poland provides the register report, with a historical version also available, sourced from the official register.

Yes. Every record is sourced from the official register, National Court Register (KRS), at the moment you buy. It is registry data only — nothing aggregated, resold, or editorialised.

What exactly is a "Company Record"?

Can I get additional filing documents?

Every record includes the standard document set for AML and KYB compliance. The official register holds further filings — listed above under "Available separately" — and if you need one beyond the standard set, contact us and we'll arrange it.

Can I get shareholders and beneficial owners?

Yes. This register publishes shareholder and beneficial-owner data, and the record includes it with the ownership chain resolved. The chain is our own work: registers file shareholdings, not the resolved ownership behind them.

How current is the information?

It is retrieved from the register at the time of purchase, so it reflects the register's current state — not a cached copy.

Do I need a subscription or a contract?

No. Buy a single record with a card. There is no subscription and no minimum.

What is the difference between a KRS odpis aktualny and odpis pełny?

The odpis aktualny contains only the current data registered for an entity, while the odpis pełny contains all data ever entered under its KRS number, including entries since deleted. Both are downloaded free of charge and the PDFs have the same value as documents issued by the office. The Register Report and Register Report (Historical) for Poland correspond to the current and full copies from the official register.

How do I search the Polish National Court Register?

Searching the KRS is free and requires no account in the system. You enter at least one identifier for the entity: its KRS number, NIP, REGON or name. The official route is the Ministry of Justice KRS search, part of the court registers portal.

Is the Polish beneficial ownership register public?

Yes. The Centralny Rejestr Beneficjentów Rzeczywistych (CRBR) is public, and access to beneficial ownership information is free of charge for everyone. Reporting covers a broad set of entity types, including limited liability companies, joint-stock companies other than public ones, partnerships, foundations and associations registered in the KRS.

Where can I read a Polish company's financial statements?

Financial documents are filed electronically with the register and made available through the Ministry of Justice financial documents browser, which is free to use. This sits alongside the KRS itself, so the register report and the accounts are consulted through the same official ecosystem.
