Official company records for French Polynesia, on demand

French Polynesia is an overseas collectivity with its own registration arrangements, distinct from the national system that applies in mainland France and the overseas departments: INPI's Registre national des entreprises covers every business operating on French territory except French Polynesia, New Caledonia and Wallis and Futuna, while INSEE's Sirene repertoire covers only the public administrative sector there. The source register for this page is the Institut de la statistique de la Polynésie française (ISPF), the territorial statistics institute, which maintains the Répertoire territorial des entreprises (RTE) and assigns enterprises, establishments, associations and public bodies their numéro TAHITI identifier.

The repertoire is searchable online on the ISPF site by name or numéro TAHITI, by French activity nomenclature (NAF) and by commune, and returns a printable situation notice for each entity. The territory's Mes-Démarches portal describes the numéro TAHITI as a six-digit number completed by a three-digit establishment code, in the form 003970-001, and points to the ISPF search for checking validity.

The court register is separate: the justice ministry's directory lists the tribunal mixte de commerce de Papeete, and a public notice from the cour d'appel de Papeete records that on 1 January 2025 commercial dossiers passed from the greffe of the tribunal de première instance to a newly created commercial greffe. The ISPF repertoire is an identification directory; the registre du commerce et des sociétés is the judicial register for corporate filings.
