Official company records for Albania, on demand

Business registration in Albania is handled by the National Business Center (Qendra Kombëtare e Biznesit, QKB), an institution created in 2015 through the merger of the National Registration Center and the National Licensing Center. The QKB is responsible for business registration under Law No. 9723 of 3 May 2007 on business registration, as amended, and administers three registers: the business register, the register of permits, licenses and authorizations, and the register of beneficial owners.

The QKB website provides an online search of the business register, together with name availability checks and application status tracking, and electronic services run through the e-Albania platform. Any interested person or entity can also request secondary services, against fees approved by the Minister of Finance, to shorten the time for obtaining information managed and available in the commercial registry. Entities without tax registration are published in a dedicated section of the QKB site with a six month notification period before potential deregistration.

The register of beneficial owners is administered by the QKB under Law No. 112/2020. The official site provides a public search of that register by entity name and by NIPT, returning the entity, its legal form and the date of the last change, and an extract of the data registered in the register of beneficial owners can be requested.
