About the register

Jersey Financial Services Commission Registry

The register of Jersey entities is maintained by the Registry arm of the Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC), which registers companies, limited liability companies, limited liability partnerships, limited partnerships (including incorporated and separate limited partnerships) and foundations. The public register is searched by entity name or registration number on the JFSC website, and registry documents are ordered from the Registry.

Jersey filings follow a fixed annual rhythm. Under the Financial Services (Disclosure and Provision of Information) (Jersey) Law 2020, in force since 6 January 2021, every registered entity completes an annual confirmation statement online in myRegistry between 1 January and the end of February, confirming the register information is accurate as at submission: the registered office address and the details of the entity's associated parties, meaning beneficial owners and controllers, significant persons such as directors, and members. Companies must bring share capital information up to date before confirming, and changes to associated-party details must be notified within 21 days.

The JFSC states that members' share information and significant person information appear on its public register, with narrow exceptions. Beneficial ownership information is treated differently: it is held by the JFSC and searched through the Obliged Entity Beneficial Owner register, where applicants must evidence a legitimate search, rather than appearing on the open public record. Company Records resolves beneficial ownership by following members' share information up the ownership chain, entity by entity, so restricted searches do not prevent UBO identification. What exactly is a "Company Record"?

Can I get additional filing documents?
Every record includes the standard document set for AML and KYB compliance. The official register holds further filings — listed above under "Available separately" — and if you need one beyond the standard set, contact us and we'll arrange it.
Can I get shareholders and beneficial owners?
Yes. This register publishes shareholder and beneficial-owner data, and the record includes it with the ownership chain resolved. The chain is our own work: registers file shareholdings, not the resolved ownership behind them.
How current is the information?
It is retrieved from the register at the time of purchase, so it reflects the register's current state — not a cached copy.
Do I need a subscription or a contract?

What is a Jersey annual confirmation statement?
It is the online submission every Jersey registered entity makes in the JFSC's myRegistry between 1 January and the end of February each year, under the Financial Services (Disclosure and Provision of Information) (Jersey) Law 2020. The entity confirms its registered office address, its share capital information and the details of its associated parties, including significant persons and members, as accurate at the date of submission. It replaced the former annual return regime when the 2020 Law came into force on 6 January 2021.
Does the Jersey company register show shareholders?
Yes. The JFSC states that members' share information appears on its public register, alongside significant person information such as directors, subject to narrow exceptions. Share capital details are confirmed or updated through the annual confirmation statement each year. The Company Records report for Jersey includes the Entity Profile and the entity's registration certificate sourced from this register.
Is beneficial ownership information public in Jersey?
No. Beneficial owner and controller information is provided to the JFSC and must be kept current, with changes notified within 21 days, but it does not appear on the open public register. Access runs through the Obliged Entity Beneficial Owner register, and the JFSC publishes guidance on the evidence required to prove a legitimate search. Company Records resolves UBOs by tracing the share information on the public register up the ownership chain, entity by entity.
How do I search the Jersey company register?
The JFSC's registry entities search on jerseyfsc.org is searched by entity name or registration number and covers companies, limited liability companies, partnerships and foundations. Registry documents for an entity are then ordered from the Registry. For limited partnerships, the Company Records report includes the Certificate of Partnership, and where an entity has no Certificate of Incorporation a Certificate of Continuance is provided instead.
